About the Role
We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child in KS1 at a welcoming primary school in High Wycombe. The school has a nurturing ethos and a strong commitment to ensuring that every child reaches their full potential.
This is a part-time role, Monday to Friday from 12:30pm to 3:30pm, starting as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support for a child with additional needs, following individual learning and behaviour support plans.
- Support the child’s participation in classroom activities, ensuring they are included and engaged in their learning.
- Assist with the development of communication, social and self-help skills.
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to implement targeted strategies.
- Encourage positive behaviour and promote independence where possible.
- Provide feedback on progress and challenges to staff and contribute to review meetings.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN is essential.
- Experience in Early Years and/or KS1 settings is highly desirable.
- Patient, resilient, and empathetic, with a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
- Ability to work well as part of a team as well as independently when required.
- A DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain a new one.
