SEN Teacher

We’re working with a supportive SEN school looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team this September. The school caters for pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, SLD and complex learning difficulties, and offers a nurturing environment where staff are well supported and pupils are encouraged to thrive at their own pace.
This is a full-time class teaching role where you’ll be responsible for planning and delivering highly differentiated lessons, leading a small class team, and working closely with support staff, therapists and wider professionals to support pupil progress.
Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCP targets
• Lead a class team including teaching assistants
• Create a structured, safe and positive learning environment
• Track and assess pupil progress and adapt teaching accordingly
• Work collaboratively with parents, staff and external agencies

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience working within SEN settings or with pupils with additional needs
• Strong understanding of differentiation and SEND strategies
• A calm, consistent and adaptable approach
• Commitment to supporting pupils with a range of complex needs
