We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced SENCO to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Reading from September.

The Role
- Lead and manage SEND provision across the school
- Identify, assess, and monitor pupils with special educational needs and disabilities
- Coordinate and review EHCPs, SEND Support Plans, and interventions
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies
- Ensure the school remains compliant with SEND legislation and the SEND Code of Practice
- Monitor pupil progress and evaluate the effectiveness of support strategies
- Provide guidance, training, and support to colleagues on SEND best practice
- Champion inclusion and promote positive outcomes for all learners
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or willingness to complete the qualification
- Previous SENCO experience or substantial SEND leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and statutory requirements
- Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills
- A child-centred approach with a passion for inclusive education
