About the Role
We’re looking for a supportive and inspiring Teaching Assistant to join the KS1 team at a primary school in High Wycombe as soon as possible.
In this role, you’ll play a vital part in encouraging positive behaviour, developing early literacy skills, and boosting children’s confidence in maths. We’re seeking someone who brings energy to the classroom, enjoys delivering 1:1 and small-group support, and has a good understanding of KS1 phonics, reading, and number work.
Responsibilities:
🔵 Provide targeted support to individual learners or small groups across Key Stage 1.
🔵 Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver engaging, hands-on learning activities.
🔵 Adapt and create resources to meet different learning needs and promote inclusive practice.
🔵 Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils to nurture their confidence, motivation, and love of learning.
🔵 Monitor progress and share helpful feedback with teaching staff.
Requirements:
✅ Experience in an educational support role is beneficial but not essential.
✅Brings a positive, calm and nurturing approach
✅ A DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
✅ Right to work in the UK.
